I noticed that the bloodlust dropped from full to this after bat cutscene, does not make a huge difference but its there.

It is not a bug.

If you stay at the centre of the arena when you trigger the bat form reveal you can see yourself run around and swing the sword if you so desire, or just stand still, the game is still running, it's not paused, hence bloodlust dropping during the "event"
 
guess i never realized the drain, after gaining bloodlust i let it sit there and did notice it however.
 
It's most likely easily missed, first of all you have to pay attention to it dropping, which, might be hard because you are looking at the batform, and if you had no bloodlust saved up before it happened you can't notice it, also it would also require 1 or 2 swings on enemies in the next wave to regain the lost bloodlust/fill out the meter again.

TLDR: It's easily missed.
