With all the cats that will be added the cats could easily act as familiars too. Maybe giving perks/bonuses to skills or attributes. Probably not much a combat type familiar though lol. Unless they do some random insta kill as a joke/secret.

As far as parasites/symbiotes go I think it would be cool to have a familiar that can drain your enemies health and either heal you with it or store it to lvl up the familiar.
I actually never did that puzzle the way it was supposed to be done. Didn't even know it was supposed to be a puzzle. I just noticed the first time that the wine looked different in the scope and shot it. After that did the same thing every time.
All of these puzzle types would be interesting to see in the game. I'd really like some lore and boss puzzles. The important thing imo would be that what ever types of puzzles are integrated into the game are not repetitive. Seeing and doing the same puzzle repeatedly such as in bioshock, elder...
I think there has been talk about Familiars before. Will there be familiars in the game? If so what kind might we see? Combat types? Would there be symbiote parasites or sentient weapons? Discuss
